Petroleum Engineer/Account Manager
Location: Texas
Compensation: $90 - $150 K+
Job Description:
OGRE Systems seeks to hire an Account Manager of Solutions Sales for its Dallas or Houston office. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling Oil & Gas economic software solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers in North America.
The Account Manager participates in a team-selling environment, providing the Customer with a primary point of contact. In this capacity, the successful candidate will assume the ownership role for their assigned accounts and drive the identification and qualification of opportunities while executing account strategy and generating license, support and services revenues.
Desired Skills & Experience:
We are seeking someone with experience as a reservoir engineer or reservoir technician in the oil and gas industry. Key attributes of the position include:
- Preferred 3+ years oil and gas experience. Open to Petroleum Engineering graduates.
- Ability to identify, pursue and close new sales opportunities.
- Position OGRE Systems to win new business within the account by developing, communicating and driving effective selling strategies that are based on valid, customer-specific value propositions.
- Routinely discuss and communicate opportunity-plan sales strategy with other members of the account team, as well as management.
- Maintain an accurate and documented pipeline of opportunities (prospects and suspects) within the sales database.
- Provide sales management with accurate and timely sales forecasts within the sales database to ensure proper visibility of new business.
- Continuously gather knowledge of industry and trends to effectively position OGRE Systems solutions.
- Skilled in negotiations with complex agreements.
