Technical Support Expert

We are looking to add a Technical Support Expert to our Dallas office to help grow our company and assist clients with our reserves estimation and economic analysis applications. This key person will work closely with our clients as well as our development and sales teams. Full and part time positions available.

If you have great communication skills, a background in the Oil & Gas industry, with experience in oil production management, reserves evaluation, production performance analysis, or economic evaluation, we would love to talk with you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide application support to our clients

  • Perform remote and on-location software installations

  • Provide training for clients

  • Assist in the creation and execution of software tests

  • Create, update and maintain documentation for applications

  • Assist the OGRE sales team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Petroleum Engineering degree

  • Five+ years industry experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients with a wide range of experience levels

  • Ability to learn, use & troubleshoot various applications quickly

  • Experience with economics and decline-curve analysis software

  • Experience with spatial data analytics (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, MS BI)

  • Experience in oil production management, reserves evaluation, production performance analysis, or economic evaluation

  • Understanding of SQL databases and analytics tools

  • Ability to travel (10% - 20%)
